Watching the rocks rising from the road, above the beach, the icon of a monastery closed off from the outside world, and through the narrow hatches gazing at the gulf and the small port of Naoussa, was drawn instinctively in my mind.
However, through the serenity of the soul and of the lifestyle of the monks, I had to go over to the harmonic coexistence of amenities and entertainment, with the austere atmosphere.
The escape exits would be doors to verandas or terraces, for enjoying the view and the sun, without affecting the dignity of the premise.
The props (Antirides) would need to be securely holding the premise on the rocks and embracing it with tenderness...
That was the concept of the owner - architect Ioannis Daskalopoulos, when he created Antirides.
