Anapsihi is a unique Greek word, that means not simply recreation but to live in such a way that one soul (psihi) becomes so light that it may rise to the heavens.
Naousa beautiful village in Paros where tradition holds all it's grace without forfighting the traveler's right to modern facilities. The Archaic Aegean Sea lies at your feet while the white sails of the yachts mark the horizon with the words "I dream".
Under these codes I spent happy and easy days of the summer of '94 at the beautiful whitewashed complex "Sunrise Apartments" just 400m. from the port of Naoussa and 1000m. from the beach.
The terraced building makes walking a novelty as you walk from room to room before reaching the courtyard where an open hand will offer you a Greek coffee.
The morning breeze, the serenity and the quaint distant voices of the locals soothe your senses and make you feel that life in the island villages of Greece is an on going "game" that begins each and every moment, fresh, young like at the dawn of life.
The kind treatment, the cleanliness, and the politeness is something natural for the members of the family run "Sunrise Apartments".
I am deliberated trying to avoid the touristic word "service" which sometimes, I feel threatens me. Here at "Sunrise" there is something more than "hospitality" the precious tradition that dates back to the days of Homer.
At "Sunrise Apartments" my company and I spend unforgettable days remembering what it was like to be child again. Good food at the local taverns by the fishing boats or hidden in the narrow streets of the village. The blue horizon, the colors and the immaculate light engulf you - the Aegean in all it's beauty.
Come to "Sunrise Apartments" and I' m sure that you will remember my words. I had fun, I rested, I wrote, I sung. In other words i had true "Anapsihi".
