LEFKES
Lefkes is a beautiful village built in an amphitheatrical style, upon the main mountain with a wonderful view. Its distance from Parikia is 10 km. The region is endowed by nature with unique beauty. The settlement is built along the traditional architectural style of Cyclades Islands.
The town hall is especially nice being built of Parian Marble. Lefkes was Paros medieval capital, set up high up off the coast to avoid the many pirate attacks swarming the seaside areas of the island.
During your walk in the village, you will meet a lot of Byzantine churches. It is worth visiting the temple of Agia Triada with the Byzantine icons. Also, the church of St. Paraskevi, which is the first church that was built in the village. Hotels and rooms for rent operate in the village.
