MORAITIS WINERY
NAOUSSA - PAROS ISLAND

The Winery of MORAITIS family is located in Naousa, Paros by the beach of Aghioi Anargyroi.

It was started in 1910 by grandfather Manolis Moraitis. He cultivated his own grapes, while he also gathered and vinificated grapes from the whole island.

Using his own ship he sold the wine from great wooden barrels in various parts of the Hora.

The second generation with father Theodoros Moraitis continued the vine culture, the wine making and selling until 1967, while in 1967 he started bottling the wine.
In 1980 the third generation took over, represented by Manolis Moraitis jr who put his own mark in the Winerys historical course.
He renovated and modernised the winery, extended the vine culture and planted and cultivated Greek and foreign varieties.

He struggles to save the vineyard in Paros from the tourist development and elevates in the best way the unique quality characters of Monemvasia and Mantilaria.
Manolis Moraitis is married to Maria Sifnaiou and live in Paros with their two sons.
Their older son, Theodore, studied Oenology, with postgraduate studies in Food and Agriculture Business Management, while the younger son, Savas, is a senior in the department of Economics in the University of Piraeus.
Their vision is to continue the wine making tradition of their family in Paros.
