MONI LONGOVARDAS

MONI LONGOVARDAS
The Monastery of Longovardas (built in 1638) is located at a distance of about 7 km from Parikia South East of Kamares. Access is allowed to men only and the monastery offers a library of great value.

Paros' Alkyonis wildlife refuge, was founded by a donation of Longomvardas Monastery. It was built on a 12.6 thousand square meters block of land donated to the society and it has been planted with trees.
